Every child deserves to feel understood, capable and free to be themselves.
Hi, I’m Bec Griffiths. I am passionate about supporting children to thrive through connection, curiosity and time immersed in nature. My approach begins with getting to know each child as an individual- their strengths, interests, sensory needs and the unique ways they experience the world. From there, I create opportunities for them to build confidence, develop life skills, strengthen emotional regulation and experience a genuine sense of belonging.
My approach
I believe children flourish when they’re given the time and space to be themselves. My role isn’t to push, or fix them- it is to meet each child where they are, with patience, presence and curiosity. As trust grows and we explore the world together, nature becomes another gentle teacher where confidence, resilience and independence begin to emerge naturally.
What your child will experience
Feeling safe enough to be their unique selves
Being met with patience, curiosity and compassion
Freedom to move, create, explore and simply be
Sensory rich adventures that support regualtion, wonder and wellbeing
Opportunities to build confidence through real experiences
Why I do this work
Children have always reminded me of something we often forget as adults- their capacity for awe and wonder. I love watching them slow down, notice the tiny details, sing to birds, build friendships with trees and creatures and discover a sense of belonging in the natural world.
Again and again I’ve seen what happens when children are given time, safety and freedom to be themselves. Their bodies relax and nervous systems settle and they begin to move through the world with more easy and joy. Nature invites movement, exploration and play in an unhurried way.
The relationships I build with children are at the heart of my work. It is a privilege to be a trusted adult in their lives and to witness their confidence, emotional regulation and self-belief grow over time. Supporting children in this way is one of the greatest joys of my life.
A simple life
A simple life is a good life.
The life I share with the children I work with is the same life I love to live myself.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me with my husband and our two daughters, in the garden, at the beach, exploring the bush, growing food, starting new projects and cultivating a slower pace of life where we can.
Some of my happiest moments are wonderfully ordinary, harvesting vegetables we've grown, watching birds, making food with my family, finding interesting creatures to marvel at, looking for shark teeth on the beach, noticing the tiny details that are so easy to miss when we're rushing.
Over the years, I've also had the privilege of supporting children and families across therapeutic and disability settings. Those experiences, together with the values I live by every day, have shaped the way I work.
I've learnt that children don't need constant entertainment. They need time. Space. Someone who notices what they notice, listens to their stories, delights in who they are, and isn't in a rush to move them on to the next thing.
In a fast moving culture, I believe we all need more of this, actually!
